JEWISH LEARNING PROGRAM

Renewing Jewish Leadership:

By situating the study of business excellence within a framework of a Jewish campus community and Jewish studies, LBS also cultivates students to become leaders not only in the business world, but in the Jewish world, as well. In an accepting and tolerant atmosphere, LBS students are invited to explore their Jewish heritage and see it as a key component and influence upon their upcoming professional lives. Success is presented not only as a matter of personal achievement, but also as something that the individual can leverage to contribute to the strengthening of Jewish communal life.

The unique program of Jewish enrichment and leadership training on campus are funded and conducted by the Jewish Heritage Fund. The Fund is sponsored by private donors and philanthropic organizations who seek to support Jewish students, especially those of European and FSU origin. Scholarship recipients receive on-campus housing and kosher dining, and extra-curricular activities on evenings, weekends, and Jewish holidays.

Especially for students who come from former communist counties, the Jewish Leadership Program (JLP) enables them to re-establish a deep personal Jewish identity and inherit their rightful legacy to the rich treasure-chest of everlasting values and community Jewish that communism tried to destroy, forever. The JLP program provides the tools and environment which our students can use when choosing where they will build their own futures and how they will be involved in Jewish life.
